(CIFC) seeks a Nurse / Health & Nutrition Services Professional / RN (1.
0 FTE) to work in our Danbury/Norwalk Early Childhood Programs.
Summary Duties:
This position serves as the school Nurse and Health & Nutrition Services Professional of CIFC's Danbury/Norwalk Early Childhood programs.
Nurse / Health:
The Nurse / Health & Nutrition Professional, with the help of a Health Assistant at each program, is responsible for ensuring the delivery of health services to children and families in the Early Childhood programs, which includes the delivery of required 45-day and 90-day screenings (height, weight, vision, hearing, etc).
The Nurse / Health & Nutrition Professional also tracks the continuing medical care of each child in the program and educates parents as to the on-going health needs of their children (through electronic records).
The Nurse / Health & Nutrition Professional works closely with the Teaching staff, Family Advocates, and the entire Management Team to coordinate the delivery of all health services provided to children in our programs through Individualized Health, Asthma, and Allergy Care Plans.
The Nurse / Health & Nutrition Professional also works with all staff to ensure the health and safety of the physical environments in which services are delivered or administered.
Nutrition Services:
The Nutrition services this role is responsible for overseeing include:
interfacing with the nutrition/ dietician consultant, the food service staff & vendors, the delivery of children's meals, and supervision of provision of adult meals at program events.
The Nurse / Health & Nutrition Professional also works with the Social Services Team to ensure that families are familiar with the nutritional needs of their children.
The Nurse / Health & Nutrition Professional works with the Education Services Team to integrate nutrition-related lessons into the classroom curriculum and take-home parent resources.
This position has primary responsibility for fulfillment of all Head Start/EHS health and nutrition related Performance Standards, including:
Child Health and Safety; and Child Health and Development Services; and the following Federal Monitoring core question(s):
Prevention & Early Intervention.
The position interfaces with the Head Start Dietician Consultant, if applicable, and the Child Adult Community Food Program (CACFP) Manager.
Requirements:
State of CT DPH RN License, plus at least 2 yrs early childhood/pediatric experience or equivalent required.
Pass physical examination, background check, and fingerprinting screen Valid driver's license required Basic computer literacy in email, word processing and internet navigation Maintain certification in CPR and First Aid PI225692486 Recommended Skills Cpr Computer Literacy First Aid And Preparedness Health Care Occupational Safety And Health Patient Assessment Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
