, is actively seeking a FT Human Resource Generalist.
Summary/Objective The Human Resource Generalist provides administrative and operational support to the Chief Financial Officer.
Qualified candidates should possess outstanding communication skills, be a conceptual thinker with excellent organizational, problem solving and conflict management skills.
Applicants for this position must exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, Connecticut employment regulations and laws, as well as staffing management and training.
Generalist will assist with additional administrative tasks including benefits, payroll, new hire orientation training, Affordable Care Act research and reporting.
Job Description Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings Make recommendations for talent acquisition Schedules new-employee orientations and sends employment agreement letters to new hires, as well as thank you letters to all interviewed applicants Identify and recommend strategies to motivate and cultivate employees (Employee engagement) Acts as a liaison between internal employees and management and an outside HR Consulting Group Maintains human resource information system (HRIS/ATS) records and compiles reports from the database as needed.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and labor postings.
Primary contact with staff and management for questions related to iSolved/HRIS.
Assists in preparing data and generating reports as needed (Financial and HR).
Competencies 1-3 years HR Generalist experience is required Knowledge of HR functions and best practices Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems Ability to listen, assess and problem solve A willingness to learn and grown within the role Maintain an ethical and professional manner at all times Confidentiality an absolute must Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
